Garfield Event Card - Splendid Genesis

Splendid Genesis was designed by Richard Garfield (the designer of Magic: The Gathering) as a celebration of the birth of his first child, his daughter Terry. Richard distributed copies of this card to family, friends, and select business colleagues. It is estimated that approximately 200 copies of Splendid Genesis were given to Richard by the printer, Carta Mundi, but it is not known how many of these were distributed. 

Richard asked his friend, artist Monique Thirifay, to create the illustration for Splendid Genesis. Monique’s heart-warming illustration of a tiny child's hand clutching the finger of her father evokes the universal human experience of being a parent, making Splendid Genesis a coveted collectible for parents everywhere.
